The Jaguars’ offense was dealt a big blow early in Thursday’s game against the Bengals.
One of Trevor Lawrence’s top targets, wide receiver DJ Chark, left the field after suffering an ankle injury on the third play of the night.
Chark had his leg rolled up on at the end of the play. He was placed on a cart and taken to the locker room. He is questionable to return, NFL Network’s James Palmer reported.
Through three games this season, Chark has seven catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns.
He’s two years removed from a 1,000-yard season and a Pro Bowl nod. The Jaguars selected him in the second round (61st overall) out of LSU in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault, the Jags’ top two pass catchers this year, will likely pick up Chark’s share of the workload.
